Private Collections
For over thirty years, I have collaborated with museums and commercial galleries to showcase and sell my work. In that time, I have placed hundreds of pieces into private collections, ranging in media from egg tempera on wood panel to prints and collages composed of hand-ground mineral pigments. Whereas, most of the reproductions and exhibition history in this archive are organized chronologically, artworks in a home are there without any timeline definition. They just quietly exist. I may complete and live with new art for a matter of weeks or months before it goes out into the world and, in most cases, I never see it again. And rarely do I ever experience the work installed. Below are some images my creations as they appear in the home, coming full circle - from the solitude and intensity of the studio, through the conduit of public viewing and critique and, finally, to the sanctuary of the collector's embrace.
